Mr. Brandon Long graduated from Hertford County High School in 2004. Brandon took pride in being a student resulting in him excelling academically. He was named academically advanced in Mathematics. While juggling his school studies and being a
student athletic Brandon was given the opportunity to compete in a Mathematics competition placing 15th out of over 200 high school participants in the Region. Brandon received a full 4-year scholarship for Football to NC A&T University.
During his High School Journey Brandon participated in several sports, such as Basketball, Baseball and Football. During his football journey he was noticed by many colleges, but North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University caught his eye.
Mr. Long completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2009. During his Undergraduate studies Brandon was a student/athlete where he served as the Football Captain for NC A&T Football team. As the leader Brandon assisted in encouraging and stressing the importance of Athletics being Students first. Brandon attended study halls to help others who were struggling in certain areas. Brandon’s determination and self-discipline allowed him to finish his Senior college career earning the Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the year. Brandon is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree and continuing to empower youth in surrounding communities.
